Visa Sponsorship Jobs In Luxembourg

Luxembourg Work Force

Luxembourg is now inviting more work force to apply for jobs in the country. This is a move to move to attract international talent, with a relaxed immigration policy, expedited visa processes, and a booming job market.

To facilitate the hiring process, the Luxembourg government has launched a dedicated website for foreign workers. This digital platform connects job seekers with potential employers, making it easier than ever to find the perfect fit.

Key Highlights of the New Immigration Reforms:

  • Accelerated Visa Processing: Work visas are now issued within a mere 5 business days, streamlining the immigration process for foreign workers.
  • Simplified Dependent Work: Spouses and children of foreign residents can now work without the need for separate work permits, offering greater flexibility and convenience for families.
  • Expanded Job Search Visa: The job search visa has been extended to 12 months, providing ample time for foreign workers to find suitable employment.
  • Abundant Job Opportunities: With over 7,500 vacancies currently available, Luxembourg’s thriving economy offers a wide range of career prospects for skilled professionals.

If you’re seeking a high-quality of life, competitive wages, and a welcoming environment, Luxembourg could be the ideal destination for your next career move.

Nearly 70% of Luxembourg’s workforce is composed of non-Luxembourgers? This vibrant tapestry of talent includes migrant workers and cross-border commuters from neighboring countries.

While Luxembourg is a part of the European Union, it’s important to note that third-country nationals (those not from EU countries or associated states) seeking employment in Luxembourg without residing there need to obtain a work permit. This ensures that the country’s labor market remains well-regulated and balanced.

Eligibility For Visa Sponsorship Jobs In Luxembourg

Nationals who reside legally in another European Union Member State automatically have access to the Luxembourg labour market. The following countries are assimilated to EU Member States:

Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway as signatories to the Agreement on the European Economic Area; the Swiss Confederation.

Anyone wishing to take up residence in a municipality in Luxembourg (and work in the country) must register their arrival with the population office at the municipal administration in their chosen place of residence.

Anyone who wants to come and work in Luxembourg without residing there must, in principle, obtain a work permit before starting their new job.

Third-country nationals will need an authorisation to stay (autorisation de séjour) and then a residence permit.

How To Request A Work Permit and Apply For Visa Sponsorship Jobs

Third-country nationals looking to work in Luxembourg must submit a written application to the Directorate of Immigration. To ensure a smooth process, gather all necessary documents and information outlined on the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs website.

Expect a response within 3 months. If you haven’t heard back by then, unfortunately, your application may have been denied.

Your work permit’s validity starts from the approval date. The initial permit is typically valid for up to a year, but it can’t outlast your residence permit.

As long as you continue to meet the requirements and can prove you’ve been working, you can apply for a renewal. After the first renewal, your permit can be valid for a maximum of three years.
