The decision to cancel the games was not an easy one as it meant that many young athletes who had trained hard and were looking forward to the competition were left disappointed. Nevertheless, the safety and health of all participants and stakeholders were paramount, and the organizers had to prioritize that.
Although the competition was cancelled in 2020 and 2021, it resumed in 2022 with even more exciting prospects.
